The first thing to do is either give us a call, email us or contact us via our web enquiry form (click here). If you choose to call us, you will most likely come through to either Sarah (who runs the office) or Mark. We will take some details from you, and then arrange a convenient time for an initial home visit. This will allow us to see the work area, measure up, and talk to you about your kitchen ideas. During this visit we will bring brochures on what we can offer, with kitchens either made and supplied from our own workshop (Davies Woodwork) or our leading supplier Howdens. We will also walk you through appliance options, with our main brand recommendations being Hotpoint, Bosch, Belling, Smeg and Rangemaster – to name just a few.
As well as the above, we will also talk through:
After our visit, we will then go away and produce a 3-dimensional perspective of your proposed kitchen design. This is normally a first draft, and gives you the chance to stand back, look at your old kitchen, and compare it with your proposed new design, including any room changes such as knock-throughs etc. At this point we encourage people to really think about how they will use their new kitchen, and if any changes are needed, these can be incorporated into a new draft which we will provide.
Once you are happy with your design, we can then give you a full written quotation including the final cost of your kitchen and fitting works associated with this.

On the first day, Mark, Dave and the rest of the team will be there at the agreed time to start work on your new kitchen. As Mark was involved in your design process from the first visit, he will have already talked over your kitchen plan with Dave, and together they will have formulated a plan on how your kitchen will fit together within your home. Waste removal will have been organised, materials will start arriving that day, and all trades will know exactly what they are there to to do. This provides both you and us with the best possible start to the job at hand.
On a daily basis, either Mark or Dave will be running your project. All joinery work will be carried out by us, or people directly employed by MD Build. We do not sub-contract out any of our Joinery work. If your project includes other trades, and you have chosen MD Build to manage your whole project, your main point of contact will still be either Mark or Dave, giving you the peace of mind that you only need to go to one person should you require any questions answering.
Once the project is completed, either Mark or Dave will be there during handover to ensure you are happy with the work. We also have a 7 day rest period between us leaving site and us then returning for any ‘snags’ if any, they may have occured during the running in period of your new kitchen. For peace of mind, we will not take 10% of the final payment until all agreed snags have been completed and you are 100% happy.
